Following the recent court injunction keeping Quinton “Rampage” Jackson from competing against Fabio Maldonado at UFC 186 in Montreal, the UFC has announced that local light heavyweight Steve Bosse will step in to face Brazil’s Maldonado at Bell Centre on April 25.
UPDATE: The injunction against Quinton “Rampage” Jackson has been overturned. Jackson will still face a legal battle regarding the breach of contract, but he has been given the green light to reenter the Octagon Saturday, April 25th. While Jackson kept up his training throughout the uncertainty, the match is going to fall under a “catch weight” category to allow a little leeway for Jackson. Fans will certainly be excited in Montreal on Saturday to finally see Jackson sparring again for the first time since January 2013.
